Our Financial Management
practice places a customized combination of CFOs, controllers and junior
financial personnel on-site at our clients’ offices to deliver comprehensive
finance and accounting solutions at each stage of a company’s
lifecycle. We provide strategic and financial planning and analysis, robust reporting
to management and the board, and risk management services, and our team has
extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing finance and
accounting operations. We help clients
address key issues and capitalize on opportunities, and we do it in a manner

We act as interim or short-term CFO and we also provide more basic services for companies that have a full-time CFO. Our team has extensive experience in financings and venture-capital funding, and we assist clients seeking external funding through our deep connections to the Boston venture-capital and angel communities.

From the time of
incorporation and drafting of employment agreements, our Legal Services practice*
gives clients access to quality legal expertise at greatly reduced cost when
compared with law firms or in-house corporate counsel. Our lawyers have years of experience in
corporate law, employment law, and litigation, and we partner with top law
firms when deeper specialization is required.
We advise
companies on business and legal issues, draft and negotiate contracts, and
advise on employment matters.
We serve our clients as outside general counsel, and we also provide backup for companies that have in-house counsel or other external legal relationships. Our attorneys work on both retainer and hourly rates for project work, allowing clients to keep overhead down until the volume of work dictates that they hire a full-time professional. We also work with law firms to provide our clients with guidance in areas that we do not specialize in, such as corporate securities and large transactional work, intellectual property, taxation, and bankruptcy. We help our clients manage outside counsel to ensure that legal objectives are met in the most efficient manner by the attorney with the requisite expertise, and we negotiate favorable rates when such specialization is called for.
